Dayanand Anglo Vedic College Trust and management society was founded in 1885 by the socio-reformist, educationist, Shri Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati.
The cherished goal of this organization was to propagate the profound message of the Vedas, while equipping the student fraternity to match the global standards of education. The ingenious institution as the name aptly suggests endeavors to form a beautiful blend of our rich, varied heritage with the latest modern technology. Equipped with such a high philosophy, this noble mission took the form of a movement and swept across the country.
With DAV stalwarts like Justice Meher Chand Mahajan, Lala Suraj Bhan, Dr. G.L Dutta, Prof. Ved Vyas, Shri G.P. Chopraji, Shri Darbari Lalji the movement marched ahead, enlightening, guiding millions across the world .The DAV network has grown beyond the national geographical barriers. Thanks to the diligent efforts of the great educators and the overwhelming support that it received from all corners, Dav is identified as a brand name totally committed to all round excellence.
DAV is now the largest non-governmental organization having over 600 schools, colleges, medical and technical institutions. Though so large DAV still functions as a closely integrated family dedicated to translating the DAV mission in every single institution in its fold. Schools in its budding, infancy stage are guided and oriented by its well-established flagship institutions. Impressed by DAV's commitment to education and verifiable evidence of quality of its alumni, A number of corporate and business houses have entrusted DAV the task of establishing and managing their public schools. This is a recognition enjoyed by very few institutions. The society has set up more than fifty such schools in collaboration with corporate giants such as National Thermal Power Project (NTPC), Associate Cement Companies (ACC), Bhakra Beas Management Board, Bharat Cooking Coal Limited, Central Coalfields Ltd, Hindustan Cables Ltd, Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd, Hindustan Steel Ltd, Metallurgical and Engineering Consultants(India) Ltd, Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd, Vishakhapatnam Steel Project, to mention a few.
