Western Region
DAV Western Region represents the group of institutions in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. The Region today has 15 schools in Maharashtra and Gujarat since commencing its operation in late 1980’s. The region under the eminent leadership of Dr K.B Kushal Regional Director Western Region has undergone tremendous development and made significant contribution in the field of education.
D.A.V. Schools in the Western Region are progressive institutions of education, with the mission of providing quality education to the masses from Kindergarten to Junior College-level. The Schools are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi . DAV Western Region provides the best possible opportunities for pupils to learn, to cultivate habits that lead them to adopt positive attitudes to life and develop a deep sense of human values that will enable them to fulfill their potential, and contribute to society and the economy. We will help pupils explore their inner interests and potential; provide them with appropriate safe, stress-free learning environment with student-centered teaching. We shall enable them to adopt habits and lifestyle which will protect them against destructive influences while instilling in them the values cherished and propagated by the founders of D.A.V.
DAV western Region has also been involved in intensive education research and development through its research wing DIEMR (Dayanand Institute of Education Management and Research). DIEMR with its panel of expert educationists has been actively conducting educational training programs, conferences, science exhibitions, cultural programs at national and international level. Curriculum development and strategic interventions in the teaching learning methodologies have also been the areas of interest of DIEMR. Working closely with the QCI (Quality Council of India the research wing has been contributing to the initiative of ensuring systemic quality by being an active participant in various ISO Programs.
DAV western Region has took on the mantel of being progressive in its approach to modern education of India that shall enable the learners and participants to be more pragmatic, practical and sensitive to life as a whole.
